About

Dr. Awaneesh Kumar Yadav is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering (SCEE) at IIT Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Previously, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin, Ireland. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela.Dr. Yadav's research spans a range of topics, including network security, 5G/6G security, IoT and cloud security, the metaverse, and post-quantum cryptography. His academic journey has also included research stints at prestigious institutions such as the University of Oulu, Finland; the University of Surrey, UK; and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium.He has received several prestigious travel grants, including the Young Scientist Travel Grant from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) for attending the IEEE MetaCom 2023 conference, as well as travel grants for IEEE ICC 2022 and 2023, and a Microsoft Research (MSR) travel grant. Additionally, Dr. Yadav was awarded the Dissemination Conference Grant from the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) to attend the IEEE IWCMC conference in Cyprus. He has also been honored with the Mitacs Global Research Excellence (GRE) Fellowship to conduct research in Canada and was offered a Visiting Researcher position at the International Centre for AI and Cyber Security Research and Innovations (CCRI) at Asia University, Taiwan.
