About

Parimala Kancharla received B. Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from RGUKT Basar, India, in 2015; MTech. in EE (Communications and Signal Processing) in 2018, and Ph.D. in EE in 2022, both from IIT Hyderabad. She worked as a research scientist at Intel Labs, Bangalore from September 2021 to November 2022. Her research interests include Multimedia Quality Assessment, Computer Vision, Generative Modelling, and Deep Learning Based Video Compression. She was a recipient of the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship-2019 and the super winner of the Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship-2020 for the project "Completely Blind Video Quality Assessment".
